LittleWhiteEbook.com -- Our Mission.
LittleWhiteEbook is a small, green, ebook publishing company founded and dedicated to creating a better world by working and hiring workers who believe in a nonpartisan, environmentally and socially aware set of core values.
Integrating these values into our day-to-day business comes naturally as a progressive, ebook-only publisher.
LittleWhiteEbook also believes setting our ebook prices low, because we don't have to make up for budget shortfalls in a print edition. That's why almost all of our ebooks fall into the $.99 to $2.99 range throughout the Amazon Kindle marketplace.
We publish the both the unexpected and the traditional - classic cookbook ebooks, intriguing back-to-basics how-to ebooks, and high-quality, sometimes "forgotten" literature classics. We also plan on publishing high-quality original fiction, creative nonfiction, and literature in the near future.
LittleWhiteEbook.com strives to publish relevent and inspiring ebooks on a multitude of topics. fiction and nonfiction. Our classic ebooks are published with the intent of respecting the legacy of our writers, leaders, and teachers past; preserving their words as digital works to live on for future generations.
Looking toward the future, our publishing mission extends to widening our reach with the goal of releasing new and exciting works of nonfiction, to bring together contemporary writers, artists, and thinkers and create a new generation of storytellers and instructors for the digital age and beyond.
The very nature of all tangible production is waste. As a digital publisher, we have the advantage of reducing paper waste on a global level. Every time a reader opts for a digital ebook edition, rather than a "dead tree book" edition, roughly 200 pages of paper are saved. Included in this harm reduction are the benefits of no misprints, no "destroying" of books that don't sell, no constant print-outs of drafts and revisions. Our paper waste is truly minimal.
Besides saving paper, we focus on minimizing our environmental impact in both our business and personal lives, by choosing consumer products that reduce harm, recycling on a weekly, limiting our consumerism, and supporting environmental organizations and nonprofits in the global community.
In many countries, including the United States, there are many children that have no books on shelves at home and limited access to libraries. Helping a child learn to read is a gift that will last a lifetime and takes a partnership that begins at home and in our communities. We are proud to be a part of that parnership.
LittleWhiteEbook supports literacy by rescuing "dead tree books" and placing them into the hands of nonprofits, hospitals and clinics, and other social organizations that need them. We also support many local and national charities that provide much-needed social services to our communities.
LittleWhiteEbook is a small business with big goals; we have hard-working, ethical contractors with diverse backgrounds, interests and skills.
One thing we all believe in is fair wages, social re-investment, and philanthropy. As a whole, our business is dedicated to creating new jobs, with fair wages and opportunities for all of the people we work with, including fair royalties for artists and writers who choose to work with us.
We also choose to support independent writers and small businesses and ventures, helping them with cross-promotion, marketing, and social media as part of simply "giving back".
